Have you ever felt anxious and worried for the future? Have ever felt like this year would never end?
Now imagine you lost your job because of the pandemic. You’re months behind on your rent and the moratorium on evictions can end at any time. The electric company has warned that they will begin service terminations soon. Your 4th grader can’t complete his virtual assignments because you had to choose between groceries or the internet. So you drive him to the school parking lot to make use of the Wi-Fi, but the car tires are bald and one pothole away from popping.
Hard to imagine? Not for the nearly 200 people who sought assistance from Seton Center from July to December this past year. This is reality for our community.
